For the second week in a row we have a change in the bowl sponsors, and this time I can't really make fun of the situation. EagleBank has taken they name off the bowl game in Washington, DC, but will still remain a primary sponsor of the game. In steps Northrop Grumman as the main sponsor of the newly minted Military Bowl. The bowl has said that they will seek to get contacts with both Army and Navy for future years where they have reached bowl eligibility. We have a new bowl this week, or at least a new sponsor. It appears that GMAC doesn't have enough money – big fucking surprise – to continue sponsoring their name sake bowl, so a new sponsor has stepped in. The modern era has now brought us the GoDaddy.com Bowl! Maybe we can see more of Danica and her beaver from a few years ago! If nothing else, it gives me an excuse to use the above photograph.
