After the drubbing that OU put on Texas Tech we aren’t surprised that Oklahoma made a big leap. Each week Eric and I vote independently and come up with the Top 20, and the top 3 were unanimous in the order listed. In discussing it Eric and I both came to the conclusion that Oklahoma’s signature win over Texas Tech was better than Florida’s win over Georgia, and OU’s loss to Texas was against a stronger opponent than the Gator’s loss to Ole Miss.

Honorable Mention: Pat White and the rest of the West Virginia Mountaineers offense for not only thrashing Louisville and racking up 500 yards of total offense, but for breaking the NCAA record for career yards rushing by a quarterback that had been previously held by Brad Smith of Missouri. Pat also beat Donovan McNabb’s Big East total touchdown record.
