NBL Bowl Outlook 11/03/2008

Yes Texas Tech is #2 in the BCS right now, but I don’t think it will stay that way. Remember that my bowl predictions are based on how I see things at the end of the season, and I don’t see Tech beating both OK State and OU which it needs to do to get into the BCS title game. Florida has the best chance of the one-loss teams to make it into the title game with OU and Texas ahead of USC in the pecking order.

This week’s predictions have four teams sitting at home with 6-6 records; Rutgers, NIU, Temple and Florida Atlantic. Rutgers and FAU have both been huge disappointments and should be considered fortunate to even be in the same sentence with the word “Bowl.” Both Temple and NIU have done better this season than most teams would have predicted and NIU even played well against an admittedly down Tennessee squad.
